Store Carry Policy

Concealed Carry is permitted on FreeState Gun Range premises as long as you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Active/Retired Law Enforcement Officer

  • LEOSA Permit Holder

  • Maryland Wear & Carry Handgun Permit Holder

If requested, you must provide applicable credentials (e.g. Valid Handgun permit) identifying that you are lawfully able to carry a handgun. The staff reserves the right to request documentation at any time.

Please note: A Handgun Qualification License (HQL) DOES NOT give you the privilege to carry a firearm.

Open carry is not permitted on FreeState Gun Range premises unless you are an active uniformed law enforcement officer or law enforcement officer openly displaying your badge.

If you fail to provide and show any of the above credentials, you will be requested to leave the premises.

Firearms are to remain holstered and secured at all times. You may not remove your firearm from your person, for any reason, while on the retail floor. You may remove/re-holster your firearm from your person while in your assigned lane on the range. Ensure you are pointing your firearm in a safe direction (i.e. down range) at all times.

Please note: Only FreeState Gun Range Holster Certified patrons are permitted to draw from the holster while on the range.

FreeState Gun Range staff reserves the discretion to ask any patron to remove their firearm from their person, in a safe matter, at any time.

FreeState Gun Range has a zero tolerance policy to any infractions to our Store Carry Policy. Policy infractions may result in your removal from FreeState Gun Range premises and a permanent ban.

This policy is subject to change at any time without notice.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask one of our staff members.
