I decided to start taking gun lessons because I want to be able to defend and protect myself and my family. I was very happy to see that FreeState had a female firearms instructor because I was much more comfortable with that option. In fact, I probably wouldn’t have booked my lesson if it wasn’t for my ability to book with a female instructor.
Stephanie was amazing, I can’t believe how much I learned in just 1 hour. She was great at providing an overview at the beginning and teaching the basics about gun safety, stance, shooting, and so forth. When we got to the range, I was a bit nervous because I don’t have much experience with guns. Stephanie helped me to center and focus myself so that I felt confident and comfortable with the gun in my hand. After each round of 5 shots, she gave me very helpful feedback on how I could improve my stance, position, etc. She also motivated and encouraged me, which helped me to feel more confident at the range.
I will definitely be returning to FreeState because of the great experience I had with Stephanie! I hope FreeState will continue to hire female instructors and support their female customers, it can definitely be a deciding factor when choosing which range to choose.”
